Hi,
Go into Tool/Option/audio in Skype and set Skype to Default Device.
Go to Sounds and Audio devices or if Vista Sounds.
Go to the Audio Tab.
Press Tab and when you get to the Default Playback device Combo Box, change
it from the name of USB headset to your sound card. Then, press Enter and
exit Control Panel. I hope this works for you, I used to do it.
HTH,

Subject: [Skypeenglish] usb headset problem

I have a very irritating problem with a new usb headset I've just bought. If
I unplug the headset, which I need to do if I want sound to come out of my
speakers, skype changes it's audio properties so that the speakers and
microphone are set to: default windows device. I'd like to be able to use
the headset for skype, but when it's plugged in. I don't want to have to
have the headset plugged in all the time, because it means I have to wear
the headset to listen to jaws. Does anyone have any ideas about fixing this?
Cheers
Alex
