I have no facebook account either
so no need yet to upgrade.
surely they could of just did an add on for 5.3 if this is all there is to

If the only important difference between Skype 5.3 and Skype 5.5 is that
Skype 5.5 has better links with Facebook than previous versions, I

don't see any reason for me, or for anyone else who doesn't use Facebook,

upgrade to Skype 5.5, unless there are other improvements nobody has told

Skype 5.5 is only in beta at the moment. The main part of 5.5 will be if
you
got facebook you can chat on facebook chat via Skype. You can test it
yourself but personally I would wait until 2 things... 1. until the full
version is out and 2. when Doug does the final scripts for it.
