Hi all - So I've just downloaded the Skype dmg to my Mac's downloads folder. I then coppied it to the application folder, and ran it from there. I'm new to downloads and dmg, and can't quite recall the right way to do this. What I have now, in amongst my applications, is the disk image for Skype, instead of the installed app, so everytime I open it, I get the message when and where it was downloaded from, and asked if I really want to open it.
I notice too, that it shows up on the desk top as a volume. Anybody tell me how to properly set dmg downloads up, so that they look like all the rest of my apps in my applications folder?
