I would say there are two issues that are very different: * Some simulations desire a vast amount of open space that is not economical when sims are always 256m x 256m. * There is a (possibly great) demand for inexpensive, smaller private sims. Those are really marketing and product issues. But technical assumptions and limits are always present.
