I will deliberately leave the quoted part of my original mail below so that
you can re-read it to find out what's wrong with HWZ. Simply look beyong the
sacarsm in the mail and you may catch a glimpse of their working model. In
case you don't know (I don't think you do), I happen to know Jackie
*personally* and good friends with certain members inside their team. I was
invited, under similar circumstances, to join HWZ and have my site hosted by
HWZ. (Singularity at http://www.sg-gaming.com) Our 2 sites have a history
going back when we were both hosted by Singapore ONE.
Without going into too much details (Raymond will jump on me if i do ;))
let's just say I have more insight into their working model, their business
practices and their plans and concluded that they are contrary to the spirit
of Linux. And I do believe I possess certain documents (through no unfair or
foul means) about HWZ which will be the Halloween equivalent of the
documents that were leaked from Microsoft Corp and made public by the Linux
community as a anti-microsoft bashing tool. I won't show it to anyone
(actually i'm not the only one who has it) though but you get the idea. They
ARE Microsoft in spirit, if not as rich ;)
I can stop the tongue lashing but I remain as adamantly opposed to working
with them as before.
Btw I understand that you are working with HWZ as some kind of marketing
agent?
