I'm sure many of you know about this already, but an excellent place to
find any IT books is Hotline Books http://www.hotline.com.au which is
located in Lemon Grove shopping centre in Chatswood. As you come down from
the station on the Westfield side, take a left halfway down the plaza into
Lemon Grove and head up to the top floor.
Their point of sale gear is powered by FreeBSD, fwiw :)
On the topic of books, I highly recommend the O'Reilly Perl CD Bookshelf to
anyone interested in Perl. I have two of the O'Reilly perl books in print
form, I wish I'd got the cd to begin with :) Perl is something that I have
only recently been messing with and I've found the cd to be extremely
convenient as any of 6 perl volumes is a click or two away. I paid $130(?)
from Hotline for it, I haven't investigated the price elsewhere (Dymocks
tech reference shop on George St might be a good place to look).
