I was nearly going to post this before and since somebody else started it ...
Dymock's in George St (the bigger one) has always had a big Linux/Unix
section. But it was interesting to walk in there a couple of weeks ago and see
things like Quake and Quake 2 packs (game + extension packs) on prominent
display at the end of a set of shelve -- so it was hard to miss. The only
problem with their display was that the only Quake 2 packs they had were
holding up another display of "Under The Radar" (a bit of a rip-off at it's
current price), so it was impossible to actually pick one up to buy it without
embarassing yourself by demolishing Bob Young's smiling mug shot :)
In the same shop, I ended up giving an impromptu speech on Linux in general to
a couple of guys who had just wandered into the wrong aisle and then said
"I've heard about Linux ... is it that big a deal?". Felt like asking the
store for a commission after that (since they bought a RedHat book to have a
look at).
