About 10 years ago there was no Coca Cola in Uganda because some guy bought
the rights to the Coca Cola name and wanted big $$ to license it to (the real)
Coca Cola and they refused to pay. You could get Fanta and Sprite, but sorry,
no coke.
I noticed here on the Central Coast there is a new appliance store called "The
Good Guys" which is the name of a very large chain in the USA - they appear to
be unrelated.
So, yes, if you want to start Microsoft in Rwanda, and no one has reserved the
trademark, copyright, business name, etc. there, you're free to do so. My only
request is that you do a better job than the other company of the same name.
