Telstra thinks that the address of your ppp0 interface is 139.130.15.162, check your /etc/ppp/options file, you should see a line like this: 139.130.15.62:139.130.45.65 I'm going to guess that at the moment, that line in your file is set to: 203.41.215.171:139.130.45.65 This is not a show stopper, you site obviously works but ip aliasing only works on shared media interfaces, in your case this would be eth0. i.e. You can't assign your LAN addresses to your ppp0 interface and then assign other addresses from the same range to your ethernet interface. (well, you can, but not in this context) You should ifconfig to set up the following: eth0 - 192.168.0.1/24 <----Your Private LAN address Now, your first alias to your ethernet card.. eth0:1 - 203.41.215.171/27 <---Your main public www address This is where you were having probs, you were assigning 203.41.215.171 to ppp0 (we've fixed that now) Note: I assume you are running a Kernel 2.2 or above. If not you will have to add entrys to your routing table for this alias. (route add -net 203.41.215.160 netmask 255.255.255.240 dev eth0:1) Now, things should start to work. Start setting up your new aliases: ifconfig eth0:2 203.41.215.161 netmask 255.255.255.240 ifconfig eth0:3 203.41.215.162 netmask 255.255.255.240 .. .. etc .. Make sure IP forwarding is turned on. This is not a security risk for LAN connected computer equip with 192.168.0.xx addresses. You should enable all other usual security mechanisms.
