Yes.. so is CSU (Charles Sturt University).. it's rather disappointing..
I'm a part time staff member of the Division of Information Technology
(DIT) here. Most of the staff(In DIT) here are scared shit-less of Linux
(major exception Tim Rayner, of course), they won't allow lecturers to
have their on private Linux boxes on the network.. now that's really
depressing.. Mainly because the lack of expertise of DIT in the Linux
area. Everyone's so happy and gay just looking forward to the
implementation of w2k(Ignorance is bliss they tell me...) . For our lab
machines, we are running Windows NT, and OS 9 on the iMacs, and NT is the
desktop OS of choice(/force) for most lecturers machines.
Is any one else out there at a uni with such a poor policy as this too?
