Well, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Linux Expo on Friday!

Managed to score a LinuxCare t-shirt from Tridge after his Samba
"Interfacing With the Devil" talk... Very amusing stuff. I'm going
to have to read some of the wildcard matching code some time!

LinuxCare: Gurus. 'Nuff said.

I finally joined SLUG too - you guys were the life of the party! :)
Nice to see the radio-LAN hack up and running as well. After seeing
Grahame's X terminal showing the slug-cam straight off the server
(wouldn't have picked it from the screen), I might have to look
around for a little terminal to play with...

Did anyone notice how dead the "other side" of the show was? It
seemed like all the fun and, well, passion, was over in Linux Expo.
Maybe it's all Tux's fault, fun little penguin he (?) is.

Adrian and I had a bit of fun though... At one stand, there was a
pretty cool semi-transparent white board with pucky pen in front of
a projector displaying - you'll never guess it - Windows 95. We ran
MS Paint and did a quick spraypaint rendition of the black and red
Linux logo... I shoulda drawn Tux! It drew some pretty strange
looks. :)

Having been keen on an iMac or iBook for a while now, it was nice
to see LinuxPPC running - Gimp and all - at the LinuxCare stand. We
started getting annoyed with the single button trackpad, so one of
the LinuxCare guys threw over a spare mouse... Very uncertain faces
for a minute as no one really expected it to work, but as soon as
we plugged it in, there it was!

I couldn't make it to the Thursday night geek-out, and everyone
mentioned how cool it was... Anyone feel like filling us jealous
souls in on the good stuff?
