On behalf of all the SLUG membership I extend the following big
- THANK YOU's - for supporting SLUG and the Linux Community.

Australian Exhibition Services (AES) for the free stand space,
lighting, power, furniture and services assistance (at some
considerable cost to them). In particular we thank Martin Nightingale
and Neol Gray - AES for having a keen enterprising spirit in
believing in Linux and of course Kate Kaddie for making it a painless
experience.

All the Open Source developers & contributors for the excellent
talks and discussion groups. At the Special SLUG meeting on Thursday
night we had in attendence over 17 of the top Open Source developers
discussing with the 180 odd SLUG'ers that came along a vast array of
interesting technical and non technical subjects. Certainly a night
to remember.

To LinuxCare for paying the $500 to hire the Special SLUG meeting
room for 2.5 hours. And especially for sharing the "guru's"
with us all, making it a very exciting event week - Thanks guys.

To the Debian & LinuxCare guys for the Wireless LAN internet
connection (Telstra didn't get our $ -- Viva la Technology), the 19"
monitor and the technical assistance.

To Len Chan & Cetus Technology for the 3 x Video Grabber cards used on
the SLUG stand, SuSE packages and numerous bits-n-pieces.

To Dr. Richard Piper (RNSH) for the loan of his Linux server, thin
clients, ethernet hub and cables for the SLUG stand.

To those SLUG members that not only unselfishly gave of their time in
manning the SLUG stand but in assisting other Linux distributors at
the show and those that acted as moderators at the Linux Conference
- It was really nice to hear the number of Windozes users being
"shocked" at the close knit community and comradeship they
experienced whilst in the Linux Expo area. I would like to especially
thank Andy for the loan of his 20" monitor for the SLUG stand.

To TurboLinux for donating a "TurboLinux scooter" and Corel, BRU,
SuSE, LinuxCare, O'Reilly Books, EverythingLinux and others for
donating s/w packages, books and other goodies that we intend having
"raffled" at the SLUG - March 31st AGM meeting.

We hope we have not missed anyone. It was a great week and we are sure
you will all agree it will be a bigger event in the following years.

Thanks Grahame - V.P. SLUG & Jamie Honan - President SLUG.

-----------------------------------------------------
PS: Special note to TurboLinux - Thanks for the "Turbo
Multi-flavoured Ice Cream stand" - It was really diffferent and
refreshing - I being one of your major receiptants :-)
Grahame
