Terry, you've mentioned this a few times, and I've always wondered
why... AFAIK, Linux definitely supports QIC variants.
Check out the various kernel configs for modules relating to QIC,
and also the ftape-HOWTO (at your favourite HOWTO dealer) for info.
One of my clients has been using a "Travan" QIC-3020 (Eagle brand)
for some time now, without a hitch. I must mention here that that
installation had nothing to do with me... :)
So, this begs the question... Why the "no QIC" flick?
