Well, says he scratching head and distinctly remembering not being
able to get Archive Viper 60Mb equiv and other stuff going....., and
so brought DAT drives.

If you can scrounge an old QIC drive, just keep your eyes open for
offers of free tapes, but don't ask me to help you get it going.

I went and brought DAT drives for my linux stuff. Bru seems to have a
good name and I like Arkeia from Knox-software for sucking across the
net, but $$$. 

Of course, cpio is the mark of a true *nix person {:-).

Len Chan seems to offer good prices on DAT drives, and buy in 10+ 
tapes and haggle for better prices from paw, viking, ?.

Oh, I'm a SCSI person, so know nothing about ide.


Hmm, shame the kid next door is into electronics (i.e. taking them
apart with a screwdriver <whince>, because I could have saved you a
couple of floppy drive tape drives <VBG>
