The RFC doesn't specify any limitations.. It would be dependent on the DNS
server.
As far as I am aware, there is no limit. You would only be constrained by
Memory, CPU and disk space.
(However.. it's NOT recommended).. Like any database.. the more records
under a key, the longer it takes to find.. Although, most of the DNS
matching are hashed lookups.. Which are pretty fast.
