Just on the note of problems, and nothing to do with cdroms. I just got
myself a P3B-F asus board. And with the shipped bios of 1004 revision,
running a ms intellimouse + wheel on ps2 port, with gpm just wouldnt work
no matter what I did. Infact the ps2 port seemed to just freeze with any
mouse and hang the system.
Upgraded bios to 1005 revision, and everything works fine.
Go figure..
The system with IDE devices works fine though;
HDA 6.4GB harddisk
HDB IO-MEGA ZIP100
HDC CDRW/CDR drive
HDD nothing as yet :)
