A useful thing to know is that SSH will "leak" information.

I've setup a ssh to, upon PPP connect, connect to an account I have.
Part of the information transferred with an SSH connection is the
IP address.

You can then use it in a script on the remote end of a PPP link to
figure out your IP address.
