I have an alias file I use to maintain a small mailing list. I have noticed lately that mail sent to an alias address is not being deleted from the /var/spool/mqueue directory after delivery. All the files for the particular message remain in the directory and consequently, the message is delivered many hundreds of times until I intervene. Can anyone suggest a possible cause for this? I can't see any obvious errors in the alias file that might cause some kind of loop.
