Another alternative is the pooled servers at ntp.org:

au.pool.ntp.org
nz.pool.ntp.org
us.pool.ntp.org

etc.

Unfortunately, the AU servers are sorely lacking:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~]dig au.pool.ntp.org +short
202.74.170.194

NZ has 4, the US has 15 ... we are pathetic.
