honestly i would turn it on anyway, and supposedly orinoco cards have weak key protection. I wasn't able to catch one interesting packet in a ~14hr period. Now thats a long hack.
The article I read ages ago said you needed around 1 gig of traffic - some way to generate that traffic, or on a busy network.
so wepcrack is time dependent, but alot less time dependent that attempting to brute force other 128-bit schemes...
