Perhaps we should not moderate non-subscriber posts and instead reject them? (a real human user will get a nice message saying they need to subscribe to post and how to do so).

This seems to be the current practice now because of spam - you can't for instance post to a google group unless you are a member (AFAIK) - and it is easy to join.

For some reason I had not been getting the moderation messages - I will take a look at it this.

Have to appreciate the work of the moderators as athough we have sender mx verify, multiple RBL blacklists, spamassassin and clamav - a large amount of message still get through (the slugnet address has been well crawled).

If folk decide they want to stay with moderation for non-subscribers then please volunteer to moderate for us (as Mike says).

Michael.

Not a problem. No-one had done any moderation on the Slugnet list for
quite some time and I went through and cleared the backlog. I let
relevant emails through as it might be useful for the archives.

If you are willing to help out with the moderation effort please contact me.
