Sorry to sound like a 'sour puss' but,
1) Is the slugnet linkedin group santioned by the LUGs committee?
It was not proposed to the LUGS committee, so we have not given an OK
nor a thumbs down per se.
2) If not, who gave you permission to name the group 'slugnet'? (Hint:
remember the trouble 'linux' got into before it became the registered
trademark of Linus.)
This is a good question. slugnet has been a historical term dating back
from late 1992 or so. Googling for "slugnet" hits us on 7 of the 1s ten.
So, in theory, slugnet would mean this mailing list. Who has the right to
it then? I suppose the user group and by authority to the exco. So to
answer Q2, see the answer to Q1.
3) Who is the "Group manager" in charge of the linkedin group (as
stated in the web page on the url)?
4) If personal information is misued in the linkedin group, who can we go after?
Indeed. Would someone familiar with LinkedIn's policies please speak up?
