and every set of notes they upload and/or restrict access to their
module content

One of the problems with "open content" is that as a lecturer, you have to liaise with all the book vendors (websites, other people's notes, etc.) whose diagrams, etc. you may have used in your notes - copyright on those will prevent you from uploading it to the Internet.
