Seeni

I was given the wrong info on the type of units we are using, they are airPoint Pro outdoor units rather than airBridges.

The set up I have is:-

                                                                             Omni

PC1 ----------LAN--------AirPoint PRO <--------------->AirPoint PRO <--------------->AirPoint PRO ----LAN----PC2

10.17.0.10                  10.17.0.31                          10.17.0.30                      10.17.0.32                  10.17.0.20

with simpleMonitor is running on PC1.

From PC1 I can ping and manage the AirPoint PRO 10.17.0.31

From PC1 I cannot ping or manage the AirPoint PRO 10.17.0.30

From PC1 I cannot ping or manage the AirPoint PRO 10.17.0.32

From PC 1 I can ping PC2

with simpleMonitor is running on PC2

From PC2 I can ping and manage the AirPoint PRO 10.17.0.32

From PC2 I cannot ping or manage the AirPoint PRO 10.17.0.30

From PC2 I cannot ping or manage the AirPoint PRO 10.17.0.31

From PC2 I can ping PC1

The IP addresses on the AirPoints are fixed (no DHCP)

Should I be able to manage all three airPoints using simpleMonitor on one of the PCs?

Thanks

Newall

Yes, you can use the simplemonitor to manage our units from the different subnet with proper routing (through router) and it should able to reach the different subnet.

If you are in the different subnet range, you need to enter the IP address by manually.

Before doing that, please make sure that to PING that subnet IP address. If you are in the public internet network, you can configure with Public IP address or through VPN to reach the network.

Also you can use our SimpleNMS to manage the sb devices remotely. For more details, please go thru the following link.

Can I use simpleMonitor to manage airPoint Pro smartBridges across the radio link?

I can get it to work with the smartBridge that is connected to the same physical LAN as the PC running simpleMonitor but appear unable to access the smartBridge at the remote end of the radio link.
