That's actually more of what I was getting at. Since the omni is going to pick up more noise than a sector it's range will be diminished as the SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) becomes smaller. An omni does have it's place. Say a HotSpot POP that is low to the ground and serves a small area. Sectors are better suited for distance.
