Not sure I never waited for 5 min if it did not associate in less then 30
seconds I figured it was busted :-)

Now this actually hits a key point. I installed a new client 2 days
ago. The client was about 2 blocks from my head-end unit. The client
was not associating for some reason on their side. However, when I
logged into the aPPo, it showed that the client was associated with
super RSSI/LQ.

It took about 5 minutes before the client actually fully associated.
Seemed odd to me. Is this the timing problem we are all experiencing??

FACTS: My head-end aPPo is new from June. My client airBridge is new
also bought in June.

I would think if it was degrading power or performance you would see
that in
the site survey screen at all the places I tested where ver 0.01.04
worked
great RSSI showed at 85 and signal at 895 now when I loaded the new ver
0.01.06 I went to the site survey screen and looked in the list and it
showed my APPO's and very good signal but just would not associate? if
the
performance was decreased I would assume I would see lower signal
quality
please correct me if I am wrong? I think now what they are dealing with
is a
timing issue the further out you go the worse it gets???

I was actually wondering the same thing myself. What exactly is this
firmware doing?? If it is degrading the radio performance to mask the
actual root problem, then please let us know.

It is one thing to have degraded airBridge at a client's home, it is
another if my head-end aPPo is NOT operating at PEAK efficiency.

Please assure us that this is NOT the case.

Thanks!!

Hello sB,

This is not the response I want to see or hear about a product that is
in my network. "MAGIC" is BS when the customer quits telling me they
are always down.

I don't believe for an instant that "firmware" is fixing an
overheating issue. I was trained as an Electronics Tech and have 12
plus years of fixing electronics to the board level as experience.
Adding some code is not going to change a flaky component. Basically
is the firmware degrading the radio operation to the point the
component does not overheat?

Fortunately, I only have a few SB products left in the system plus the
ones
in the junk box.
