Title: Message
The ABO plugs into a Linksys router, however for troubleshooting we connected directly to a PC with a known good NIC....still could not connect thru the ethernet side ("cable unplugged").

Check it with a known good NIC. Force the NIC to 10base-T half duplex. On windows, use device mangaler (manager), check the properties of the NIC, look on the advanced tab.

Subject: [smartBridges] "Ethernet Dying" problem on ABO today

We bought Qty. 4 ABO's last week from Electro-Comm. Installed three of them so far. Tonight around 6PM, the one I installed on Sat. stopped passing traffic on the ethernet side. I can ping it from the wireless side, but not the wired side. Yes, I've tried to power cycle the unit (multiple times). The ethernet amber light on the unit is OFF.

So, does this mean the latest batches have the flaky ethernet port problem still???

Regards,
