Ok... here's a nice problem..

Problem 1) An airPoint Pro Outdoor... you can connect to it just fine off
of the wireless port.. But you can't ping it from the Ethernet port...

Now you can look at the counters, and the ethernet bytes/packets and
wireless packets/etc increments...

It will NOT pass a single byte of traffic between the two.. But here's
the next part.. Put it into repeater mode, and you can ping the ap from the
Ethernet... and ping it from the wireless.. I can see from another AP that
it's connected, and you can get into the AP just fine via the wireless port
and look at the stats of it...

BUT IT WILL STILL NOT PASS TRAFFIC

soon as you put it back to AP mode... only way to ping it or anything else
is via the wireless port..

Problem 2) Another APPI... will not allow clients to connect to it. Every
now and then (multiple times a day) it just drops off the network.. like
it's locking up... power cycle and it's good for a little while longer.
btw.. the blue Rf Link light no longer flashes...

Applied the new "fix" fw to fix it's heat problem a few weeks back.. ran
great for a week... now it's just a hunk of junk taking up space in a box
and generating heat.

Problem 3) An airPoint Pro Outdoor was replaced because one went "bad"
(like that's a surprise with sb equipment anymore). It worked great for a
few hours... now the link light on the switch won't show it's there. Hop
into the unit via the wireless port, and it shows that it's transmitted x
bytes/packets, but received 0 bytes/packets. Replaced the switch... still
the same thing.

Problem 4) Lately the smartBridge equipment line has a very high
failure/problem rate... I'm starting to eval other equipment now. I'm
starting to feel really bad for recommending smartbridge equipment to other
people.

I got home last night at 3am after climbing towers all day in 95+ degree
weather... wouldn't have been bad if the humidity hadn't been 80%+ giving a
head index well over 100.

So anyone have any idea's for AP's that stop passing traffic? Many many
many many many many many many reset's of the AP's fail to make them work.
I'm about to start offering "rewards" for giving me answers that work...
