We do not have the accurate value. But you can refer
to this doc http://www.wildpackets.com/elements/whitepapers/Converting_Signal_Strength.pdf
for reference and understanding. Anyone has better source?

Does you have an accurate value of what the dBm should
be when
getting 40 from the unit?? (like 20 30 40
whatever dbm?)

The RSSI display in percent will be more accurate to
indicate how strong
the signal is. The internal formula to dbm conversion
is not accurate
(eg.100% is -10dbm) and that is the reason we came out
the option to
allow user to define their own conversion table. SO
you can set like
100% equal to -45dbm, etc.. which is similar to other
vendor dbm
reading.

Has there been a resolution to this yet? I just did an
install that is
reporting a signal level of -10dbm.
The latest firmware allows you to punch in your own
values for dbm
levels, but this hardly helps to provide an accurate
measurement of
signal level.
