What's the point of having RJ11 *and* RJ45? Is that part of the new IEEE 
standard? I know Trango uses "POE over one CAT5 cable" (I guess we can't just 
assume the "E" means "CAT5" anymore??). 

The guys I work with use Trango and don't have any problems with lightning or 
surges. The Trango units are designed to use shielded CAT5 with the goo on the 
inside. The cable's thick and harder to work with than CAT5, but they haven't 
lost any units to lightning. I've lost several ..and I'm assuming to lightning 
surges.

Is there any reason why this wouldn't work for residential installations and/or 
the forthcoming standards-compliant POE device?
