Sam,
1. Will the EZ-Bridges work with PoE?? Do they come included?

2. What are you paying for the EZ-Bridge without the NEMA box?

3. What are you paying for the EZ-Bridge with the NEMA box?

Just keeping my options open if necessary.

Subject: [smartBridges] Getting Refunds

Sometimes you have to cut bait.

I wonder if SB will change the return policy given the ongoing failures
and give refunds (in lieu of replacement equipment) for the broken
product
we all have?

What I've learned in my almost one year now of working with SB equipment
is that when it's good, it's really good, but when it's bad, it's worse
than awful since not only does it cost time and money, but also
frustration on the part of our customers. Their are too many choices for
broadband in most communities to be putting up CPE for a customer then
going home and praying that it doesn't fail. We need to know it's going
to
work.

For what it's worth, we've been migrating to Teletronics EZ-Bridges.
These
are working great so far for the CPE equipment and cost less than ABOs.

And they automatically reassociate if you change APs. We're still
looking
for alternatives for APs...if anyone has any experience with other
equipment that can be used in place of an APPO please email me off-list
with any suggestions.

Getting back to my original question, if we were able to get cash
refunds
for the SB equipment that doesn't work (and not be forced to use the
original packaging, which imo is a cop-out to shield the company from
having to give cash refunds) we could use the cash to replace the faulty

equipment with another vendor (temporarily) until SB gets everything
working like it used to. (And please note that I'm not talking about
losing association due to heat/Atmel/firmware).

I really really really really want to continue to use SB equipemt. As I
said when it works you can't beat it. But until all the bugs are worked
out we'd like to use something that we don't install, literally, on a
wing
and a prayer.
