Huh...now I am stumped. I see that the POE unit is outside. So...if only
one CAT5 passes through the wall, how does the outside unit get power?? You
cant possibly be using the indoor POE unit to combine the signal and power,
then doing it again outside??

Sorry...I am just confused.

Oh...and I don't use ANY flush mounts (too much work). I use ONLY the
surface mount jacks. I also don't fish anyone's walls. That would cost me
too much in subcontractor fees. I run all cable outside, with one
penetration point where we put a surface mount RJ45 jack, then a short CAT5
to the router/pc.

Yes we are planning for the Flush mount. But I there is still time to
change. This can be changed even at a later time based on more user
feedback.

Based on the discussion on this forum a few days ago, we have modified the
mounting instructions such that only one CAT5 cable needs to go through the
wall.

I know this flush mount is not a good idea a surface box I would think
would make things easier... did the doc really say flush mount? I hope not
:( don't drill 2 holes use a 1/4 inch hole instead of 3/8 or just go one
side up to fit both inside.

Here is my 2 cents on this product that is obviously already in
production...too late to make suggestions I guess.
I definitely LOVE the compliance factors...the self sensing power
adjustment....and the protection! Much needed improvements!!
I don't like the added work I have to do to mount/install
this...mounting the box, drilling 2 holes, cutting a hole in there wall
for the flush mount plate, etc! I guess the client could still do a
power reset from inside the home...that's okay. I also don't like the
power plug using Rj-11...but there really is not chance of hurting
anything there.
I personally use a surface mount RJ45 block for all my installs. I
drill one small hole from the outside and mount the jack over the top of
the hole. Sure...flush mounts look nicer...but more work!!
