New units with the new chip will still work with the old & new firmware.

By downgrading to that version you lose the ability to remotely manage the radio, which is why they changed the bridge function to not be transparent. They couldn't make it transparent and still allow you to connect to it remotely. Firmware 0.01.04 and 0.01.07 are the versions that take away the transparency. 0.01.07 fixes the problem with the firmware timing of the new chips, so I would suspect that 0.09.10 wont work well with the new chips. That's actually a good question to ask SB support. Are all the chips now with the new spec that requires that firmware fix, or did they fix the chips and go back to the original spec? In other words will 0.09.10 work on a new radio?
