The silver no longer has the EXT ant connector but the Gold still does form what I have seen and heard..

So far the Orinoco cards have been our choice. We use what is now called the "Classic Gold" card, but now that Proxim has taken over there seem to a number of different models and I understand not all of them have the external antenna connector.
 
The AirCarte does not have an external antenna connector.

Is the AirCarte any good or are there better PCMCIA cards on the market?  If so, would you recommend one with can use an external antenna?
