How do you add an omni antenna to a APP total ????

Given that its not 90 degrees ;-), I figure I'll probably add on an
omni-directional antenna - the homes it this area are spread over about
200 degrees with only a couple of places out side of this. What I really
would like for this access point is about a 3-4 km range; more would be
nice but not an absolute must.
