All our access points in client bridge mode use address 4 field, which is needed in order to associate and pass traffic.
What is Address 4 Field
• As specified by the IEEE standard, the Address fields (1-4) contain up to 4 addresses (source, destination, transmitting and receiver addresses) depending on the frame control field (the ToDS and FromDS bits). • Address 4 field is an optional field and its implementation may or may not be used by Equipment manufacturers.
Please use an aPPO in AP mode in order to associate to an aPPO in client Bridge mode.
With Best Regards,
Vasu

If memory serves me right I was trying to do the same thing but with two APPO's instead. I could associate to the remote AP-1000 with the one APPO but it would not pass traffic becuase SB has utilized a feature in the software that does not allow an APPO to pass traffic to another AP unless it is another APPO.
This may hold true with the APP total as well so the only choice for me was to use an APPO at my main site. I cant remember, but I think it was a 4th something or another its been so long SB can chime in unless I am thinking of something else..
