IMO each broadband customer should use a router that way you keep broadcasts and filesharing etc of of your network.
I recently quoted a guy $38 for a 10 pack of 4 port routers. Also recently you could buy 1 port routers from Tigerdirect for $6.95. There is no reason why a user should need to plug a computer direct into the CPE unit especially with the cheap protection this gives the customer.. Heck a decent firewall program is $25. Pay little more and you get more then decent plus capability to share your connection with up to 3 other computers. Anyone running a always on connection WITHOUT a firewall is nuts IMNSHO... Sell this in to your customers and they will be happier in the long run...
