Actually the Primary Port need to set correctly if you want to manage the device from different subnet for its default gateway or DHCP request packet (if device is set to obtain IP address dynamically) to send to correct interface (wireless or ethernet). It is only good for itself only. Otherwise, the setting is not relevant for user data traffic and will not hidden user from passing traffic.

HMM interesting so you say that on my APPO's at all my towers I should set the primary port as Ethernet? I didn't even think about that because if I remember correct by default they are set to wireless?
