I use the Sharp Zaurus PDA with a Netgear MA701 and Kismet. (Ok, I use the GUI with Kismet!) Works great! Gives all types of info you like such as channel, if wep is on, MAC addresses, if it is an AP or CPE, etc.

There's also a GPS mapping software that someone has developed for this. I can't figure it out, but maybe someone else on this board can? (If anyone can figure this out, please tell us!)
Use "gpsmap" ... "map gpsmap" should give you enough info. You have to pipe in your kismet .xml file (with gps coords!) and it will retrieve a map from whichever source you specify (mapblast, terraserver, etc) and plot out all the data.
I have some examples which I'll pull from my lapper and send out in abit.
