I use SU-I's put then in nema boxes and use PI-Cat5 (Alvarion poe
injectors can be had for about $20-$30/pcs on ebay)
Usually I run 10-30' coax between my nema and antenna but that is
because I like to have the radio easily accessible at the bottom of
the mast pole.
