I'm not sure I understand the question. If you have delegated a dataset to the zone then you have to manage it using the native zfs commands since there is no zfs command support in ubuntu. Once you've set the mountpoint for the dataset then ubuntu will simply access the storage through the filesystem. We haven't done much testing with this configuration internally yet so if you run into problems, let us know.
