Don’t forget to enable the boot from USB option in the BIOS too. You may also have to enable legacy USB boot support, and other options depending on the make, model, and year of your BIOS. Also, you may need to adjust the boot priority of the various devices. Booting from USB can be tricky, particularly on older hardware, but it should be able to be done.
