It's still the server used by FSO and Om, so I doubt it's deprecated.
OTOH Graeme Gregory has apparently started to port Xglamo's RandR
and 2d accel to Xorg, so the next version of xserver-xglamo should be
xserver-xorg-video-glamo.
Both the fbdev and xglamo servers have downsides. Each user will have
a preference depending on their usage pattern, so it makes sense to
offer the choice.
