Sorry for the late reply ... got busy with some other activity :-) Thanasis, good news for us ... it worked on RxTx ! I used *rxtx-2.1-7-bins-r2/RXTXcomm.jar* as CLASSPATH jar and * rxtx-2.1-7-bins-r2/Linux/i686-unknown-linux-gnu* as LD_LIBRARY_PATH.
Though initially i came across error: *org.smslib.TimeoutException: No response from device*. But with *-Dsmslib.serial.polling* parameter it worked! So is there any issue with Suns communication library on FC9? Thanks a lot ! ~Preetam On Thu, Nov 13, 2008 at 2:22 AM, Thanasis <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > I can't reproduce this setup, as I don't have any USB phones/modems > around... > > What I can see is that your PDU and my PDU are the same, so this does not > seem to be an SMSLib encoding issue. > > I will sound a bit paranoid here, but could you test with RxTx instead of > JavaComm v3??? > I am really starting to think that this may be a comm-link issue... > > > 2008/11/12 Preetam Palwe <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > >> I am using >> Platform: FC9 >> Mobile: sony ericsson z530i connected via USB (on /dev/ttyACM0) >> COMM Library: comm3.0_u1_linux.zip >> SMSLIb Version:3.3.1 >> Java Version: 1.6.0_07 >> >> On my WinXP + Java comm v2 + smsLib 3.3.1 it anyways works! >> >> >> >> >> >> >> >> On Thu, Nov 13, 2008 at 1:16 AM, Thanasis <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >> >>> I used WinXP + JavaComm v2 + smslib 3.4 (which is actually the same with >>> 3.3.1 as far as this issue is concerned). >>> >>> I wouldn't even dare to assume that this issue is operating system >>> specific...
