Hi, Although Java Comm v3 works for me (CentOS & Ubuntu 6.06, but with a real serial phone cable, not USB), there have been several complaints from other friends. So, I can't give a definite answer. Best thing you could do is to try both - its pretty easy, as SMSLib with auto-detect the presence of whatever library you have installed.
Just be sure to *completely remove* all files of the one comm library when you switch to the other - if files from both comm libraries are available, smslib may act strangely.
