No, this only applies to the new MacBooks and MacBook Pros with the  
Mini DisplayPort. It works like HDCP on HDMI - you can't play DRM  
content unless you're connected to a suitable monitor, i.e. a monitor  
which is also DisplayPort. So if you use a VGA or DVI adapter with the  
Mini DisplayPort on the new laptops it will work fine for most things,  
just not DRM content such as movies and TV shows from iTMS.
