Shirley,

Only the most recent (Mid 2011 model) Mac Mini can support multiple screens.  
It has an HDMI port (with an HDMI to DVI adapter supplied) and a Thunderbolt 
port which can also support a monitor via a Mini Display Port to, in your case, 
SVGA adapter cable.

AFAIK, all other MacMinis can only support one monitor.
