Well I know in the county I grew up in,
small, rural, mostly white....if a famous black athlete came in and had
relations with a local white girl then she claimed it was rape he'd be
toast. It wouldn't matter if an eyewitness saw her up against the wall
with Jimmy Studly they'd convict the black man because he dared have sex with
a white girl.
Now that's not right. It would be a
gross miscarriage of justice. But that's what would
happen.
It would be the same way if a white guy
was accused of raping a black girl in a predominately black
community.

Thank God someone else said it,
you know I hate cases like that too. Figured I would get crucified for saying
it. lol But yeah, I think in this case, it just might have come into
play......

You know I'm not big on making cases about
race....you all know how I feel about it....but comments I have heard and
read from local people lead me to believe that some in Eagle County believe
he's guilty because she is white and he is black. Could the prosecutor
be one of those?

I agree.... I just have this nagging question as to
why
the prosecution has taken it this far.
