why not? people could still buy guns. and the only people who should, (I repeat SHOULD) complain about registration of their guns are those who would use them illegally. And for black market sales, if used to commit a crime the weapon would be traced back to the seller, who would HAVE to fully cooperate with authorities just to be fined or possibly incarcerated for weapons violations. Or maybe that is just a utopian idea.
the problem with that is the people who gain em illegaly to commit crimes arent gonna register em so some poor jo schmo is gonna get stuck going to jail for it
