Yep. And I have to
argue these points with people on other groups. They have this sweet idea of
socialization from listening to Hanoi Jane and Babs too often. I can't count how
many times I have heard about what socialized medicine could do to help the US.
Blah...blah...
I also was told that
socialism is not the same thing as communism and is much better. LOL...Uh yeah
ok people.
I gave socialism as
one of my reasons for not wanting Hitlery to ever become president. She has
socialistic views on many areas. I prefer to keep the US as a republic just as
it is.

governments: far from socialist :o)
England is a constitutional monarchy and
is definitely a socialist country. Same for Australia. Just
because they are republics or democratic in nature doesn't preclude them from
being socialist.
Even the USSR had a constitutional
democracy.

Denmark: Type of Government: The Kingdom of Denmark is today a constitutional
monarchy. The symbolic chief of state is the queen or king. The only real
power in that position lies in the ability to appoint the prime minister (who
is the head of the government) and the cabinet ministers. These officials
represent the true power in government. There is one legislative body, the
179-seat Folketing.
Norway: TYPE OF GOVERNMENT: Norway is a constitutional
monarchy. The chief of state in Norway is King Harald V, who has been reigning
since January 1991. The head of government is Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg,
who has been in power since March 2000. Following parliamentary elections, the
leader of the majority party or leader of the party coalition is usually
appointed Prime Minister by the monarchy with the approval of the Parliament.
There is both a judicial and legislative branch in Norway. The legislative
branch is only one house, however it does divide itself into two chambers at
times and all members are elected.
Sweden: Sweden: Government: Government type constitutional

Finland:
